Beef Noodles

I havn't had any beef noodle before until this year January, I had taken it twice, once during lunch and the other time for dinner.
Uncle Cheng Special Beef Noodle at SS17, PJ. RM6.50 per bowl.
The portion is just nice. Uncle Cheng recommended this "kon lou" to me, "Trust me, kon low is more popular. I see your face I will know what to put and what not to." Therefore my noodle had only meet balls and slices of lean beef. (Not enough vegetables to go with.)

Chinese Beef Noodle with "sao gong min" at Taman Equine, Seri Kembangan. RM4.50 per bowl.

Very big portion. I couldn't finish it because the meat and noodles were in very generous portion. The sambal was nice though. I like the sea weed and green vegetables too.

Busy Days

For a change, I didn't turn on Lite FM yesterday night but was tuning on Ai FM while driving before and after work. Somehow, Ai FM gave the CNY feel.

My last business review meetings with my principals this week. Monday, Tuesday... everyday full with meeting appointments. They were good meeting to present wonderful double digit growth. I am very proud of my supportive team.

Today I even had meeting at KLIA. Haha.. Flights to Phuket were so full at this time that my principal had no choice but to make a day trip to KL.

Tomorrow is another day to continue my handover list.

My Reflection and I

How do you like to see yourself from the mirror?
Can I see if I am happy from the mirror?
Is the reflection of mine looks healthy?
Reflections from the mirror remind us to get back on track of our dreams.
If you see the unhappy face, find out the reason and make yourself happy again.
Your reflection is your best friend in the mirror.
Learn to like yourself more and eventually everything will go right.
Haha... if you need someone to cheer you up, try go to the mirror and show the gorgeous smile.

Pleasure to meet you, my dearest friend.
This picture was taken during recess hour after my children dance class on 19 November 2005.

Swinging off the Mighty Mouse

I had always wanted to have slimmer upper arm.
After I played badminton since April 2007, my arms muscle toned up but also had made my it looks gigantic. I had then stopped badminton for a while.
I practice yoga since end May 2007 and had heard compliments from my colleagues saying I have nicer body (but co-incidentally were during the days I wore my blouse and pants with vertical lines.)
So I even signed up for social dance class which I go once a week, an hour a day. It didn't help much since I don't have anyone to practise with me after class. One hour in the air-conditioned room didn't make me sweat.

When I start my new job after CNY, got to miss those badminton games, yoga and social dance classes. Thinking of going swimming more regularly after this. I don't really swim but dancing in the pool. (Hahaa...)

Got to try out tips from this URL:

A Cure for Upper Arm Flab

By:
David Kirsch

Question :

I have flabby upper arms. How can I slim them down?

Answer :

Flabby upper arms are a common problem among many of my female clients. In my book Sound Mind, Sound Body, I discuss a couple of routines that will focus on both the biceps and triceps from all different directions. One of my favorite routines consists of the three exercises described below. Do them in the following order, with no rest in between each exercise.

1. Shadow Boxing: Do 20 repetitions of each of the following moves with three-pound dumbbells.

  • Crossovers: Punch across your body and parallel to the floor
  • Uppercuts: Punch up toward your jaw with the underside of your fists facing the ceiling
  • Hooks: Punch across your body in a hooking motion, parallel to the floor, as if you were trying to hit someone on the side of the jaw

2. David's Push up Deluxe: Do 10 to 15 push ups in each of the following positions.

  • Place your hands just slightly wider than shoulder width
  • Place your hands just narrower than shoulder width with your elbows in at your sides
  • Place your hands close together with your fingers pointed toward each other and your forefingers and thumbs forming a triangle

3. Reverse Walking Crabs: Sit on the floor and place your hands behind you with your fingers pointed toward your butt. Lift your butt off the ground and shift onto your heels. Maintain this position and keep your abdominal tight as you take four steps forward. Then do 10 reverse push ups by bending and then extending your arms. Repeat this exercise four times.

Looks like it I need to practise this for the sake of looking good!

2008 vs 28

So fast, I will be living for 28 years on Mother Earth.
A friend had asked me whether I have any birthday wish.
To me, birthday has became less exciting. Not that I will grow taller, become prettier but I am aging day by day.
More challenges and more responsibility to make me tougher and wiser everyday.

I had made a new year wish instead of birthday wish.
To me a wish that I make 7 days later will not be any much different from a new year wish.

I wished to be financially free, and be able to enjoy the learning curves everyday.
I also wished to have more time for my family and to look after them while I could.

When my boss announced my resignation from my current job to the department colleagues last Friday, they were so shocked. Even when there were a restructuring in the company, I could not be the one affected. Yet, I had make my decision to move to another ground for a new beginning. My boss thought I should stay on and take up the managerial post. They said a not so young yet not very old single lady like me who does not have family should not think too much about the distance to work but should consider the career advancement that company is providing. I knew it was partly true but many things had happened and I choose to be reachable to my parents.

Month of Feast

Wow.. December is really month of feast for Achia. :)
Not counting the varieties of food that I had in Perak and Penang ground trip, I just checked my handphone camera album and found out how lucky I was!

You can find my yummy collection from the link here:

Remind me of something, the feelings is just like going about the Bulatan Bahagia roundabout at Ipoh Town, "Ooh, bahagianya...".

A Pirates' Night

My company annual dinner has never been so fun as this year's!
Hehehe...I was among the 25% of the total 1300 attendees that got a lucky draw prize.
The food in One World Hotel was good!
Hmm...and I must say the committee had chosen the right event organiser.
Overall was good and all of us had a good time.

Snatch Thieves

Why are there so many snatch thieves in JB, Klang Valley and other towns?
Are there many people left jobless?
These trained group of nonsense is doing it again and again daily.
It is kind of habit to them. "Hunting" is the word.
Human being with binocular vision are born hunters. We all know that their victims are not born with monocular vision. Victim who carries handbags carelessly and talks on the phone while walking might have not been attentive enough, did not care about the danger confronting them.
These snatch thieves too were born with equally two hands and legs and I do not understand why they like to harm other people.

Happy Holiday at KK

Papa and Sumito admiring village view on the hanging bridge at a Kadazan village in Penampang.

Papa and mama posed for my camera, good view of Mount Kinabalu from Kundasang War Memorial Park.

Deathly river water...polluted by the copper mining activity.

Achia
had a memorable and wonderful holiday with papa and mama last week. :)
Thank you to Sumito, a very professional Kadazan tour guide.
Everything he showed us was so great and certainly I will want to visit KK again.

"C" "O" "C" "O" "N" "U" "T"

I love Coconut House....
A good gathering spot at KL.
They serve delicious Italian food, accompany with nice music in a cozy yet simple ambience. :)

When I first thought of Coconut, I had the perception that the place will be packed with matured senior citizen, something like
Coliseum Cafe... Surprisingly, I was greeted with groups of cheerful youngsters, chatting and laughing at every corner.

"Coconut House" in Mandarin, is a bi-monthly teenager magazine. The founder of the magazine had opened his first restaurant in Melacca Town. The branch in Pudu that I visited was opened after a few years later.

The chicken, coffee, pasta, pizza and ice cream were so "syok~". I can't sleep at night... Maybe I had over eaten. :)

Since they use traditional method of charcoal and wood fire cooking, be prepared of slight long wait for your food to be served. Not forgetting to mention that the lady attendant there was very friendly and helpful.

This time I didn't take any picture of my food... I was so hungry that I munched them quickly.

So you have to try for yourself. :)

"Wasp up, Alor Setar?"

A bright yellow bee rested on my shoulder infront of Alor Setar Mall, Kedah.
It must be one of my ancestors, greeting me for going back to Alor Setar.
Probably true... :)
Haha...
1,2,3... say cheese!

/* Hmm... My papa said this is not bee, it is wasp instead.
I tried to search internet to check the species from this link
http://www.insectimages.org/browse/order.cfm?id=98
However, would appreciate if any biology expert can tell me what is the answer.
